We slow cook Tomali for more than 4 hours and blend together Italian plum tomatoes, light and dark mustard seeds, red onion, fresh ginger and garlic, red peppers and a mild madras curry powder.
This sauce is perfect cooked together with a Bolognese or stew; or added as a pasta sauce. It makes a delicious pizza base sauce and can even be used as the base ingredient for a Taco dish – braise chicken or beef pieces with a few tablespoons of Tomali and it’s as simple as that.
